Weather: Wonderful night Friday on the river, sun and 80s for Graceland. Low 80s and high clouds with blue sky to New Orleans.

So we made it to Memphis fine. Memphis is located in Tennessee, which by the way is our tenth state! Home of Graceland, Elvis's famous roost, Memphis is situated on the Mighty Mississippi River. We enjoyed a river boat cruise on our first (and only) night here. The Memphis Queen had a live band and some shredded pork that was wonderful.

The next day we swam in the hotel pool, showered, and headed to Graceland. We got the platinum ticket with our AAA and student discounts and were treated to the Mansion tour, the plane tour, the car tour, and the "Sincerely Elvis" exhibit, truly the best choice. The audio devices on the mansion part of the day were wonderful; easy to use and very informative. Video equipment and flash photography are not permitted however, but luckily my camera has a very large shutter speed range and I was able to get some good photos. (Just as a general note, I put very shrunken pictures on the website for quick downloads, I have the full 1.3 Mpixel photos on my computer.)
